Thom Newell is an LA-based director/editor. He works primarily in genre TV and film, having edited on Don Mancini’s CHUCKY, Paramount’s EVIL, and Netflix’s BRAND NEW CHERRY FLAVOR. He is also the editor of numerous feature films including Joshua Giuliano’s RIVER starring Jane Levy and Jessica Roth, and Chris Sparling’s THE PUNISHING starring John Boyega and Cara Delevingne. Thom has edited on most of the V/H/S films, cutting segments for David Bruckner, Flying Lotus, Justin Long, Chloe Okuno, Johannes Roberts and more. Thom has also directed the horror short films FULL MOON GLORY HOLE, T IS FOR TEDDY, and many more. While he is not an actor, Thom played Greg Bruckner in SCREAM VI, making him one of the least-effective Ghostface killers in the entire franchise.
