GHOUL AD

Ghoul A.D. is an Oklahoma City–based tribute to the band Ghost with the goal of
entertaining and building community through theatrical rock performance.
Our mission is to create a space where all fans, especially those who have felt out
of place in traditional environments, can come together through rock/metal, theatrics, and
a shared love of the strange. In a world, where many individuals and communities feel
unseen or unwelcome, Ghoul A.D. provides experiences that celebrate free thought,
humor, and belonging, all while absolutely kicking ass with rock music.
Ghost is a Swedish rock band formed in Linköping in 2008, known for blending
arena-ready hard rock with theatrical, occult-inspired presentation. Led by the enigmatic
Papa Emeritus — a rotating cast of costumed personas portrayed by frontman Tobias Forge
— and backed by anonymous musicians known as the Nameless Ghouls, Ghost has built
one of the most devoted fanbases in modern rock.
Their sound pulls from classic heavy metal, 70s pop, and prog rock, resulting in
music that is far more melodic and accessible than their dark imagery might suggest.
Songs like “Square Hammer,” “Cirice,” and “Mary On A Cross” have crossed over to
mainstream audiences, with “Mary On A Cross” alone surpassing 500 million streams.
Ghost’s live shows are full theatrical productions — elaborate costumes, dramatic
lighting, fog, and a frontman character who commands the stage like a dark pope
addressing his congregation. They’ve headlined major festivals worldwide and sold out
arenas across the US and Europe, winning a Grammy Award along the way.
In April of 2026, Ghost announced an extended, if not permanent, hiatus with no confirmed
return date — making live tribute performances the only way for fans to experience that
show for the foreseeable future.
